Christine Wise RGN Bsc (Hons) takes on the role of Resident Lymphoedema Specialist at new clinic All Health Matters in Canterbury offering DEEP OSCILLATION® as a treatment for Lymphoedema and Lipoedema

Christine Wise RGN Bsc (Hons) is an Independent Lymphoedema Practitioner who has trained in Advanced Lymphoedema Management, in both Vodder & Foldi techniques. She is delighted to have taken on the role of Resident Lymphoedema Specialist, at the All Health Matters clinic in Canterbury, which opened its doors on 2nd April 2012. Christine recently said of the innovative treatment that she will be offering: “After 15 years of treating Lymphoedema patients, I am now seeing better results than I have ever seen. I sincerely feel DEEP OSCILLATION® is a breakthrough in Lymphoedema treatment and is one that we have waited a very long time for!"

and will discuss the role of the horse’s lymphatic system, how it differs from the human system and how to use therapies to help with oedema. DEEP OSCILLATION® will be incorporated into the lecture as a treatment for this condition.

USE OF DEEP OSCILLATION THERAPY FOLLOWING TOTAL KNEE REPLACEMENT
Following a total knee replacement, it was decided to use Deep Oscillation Therapy (DOT) to try to reduce the swelling around the knee joint. This we did from the 5th day following surgery, carrying out the treatment daily for 2 weeks, then on alternate days for a further 2 weeks.
